December 23. Chairman of the Council of Federation Sergey Mironov held a session of the Interim Commission for the legislative security of the development of the market of low-cost housing in the RF regions.
“We have serious problems with provision of low-cost housing to our citizens”, – Sergey Mironov stated. He specified that these words concern low-cost housing for all citizens, not only for medium class representatives who have an opportunity to get a real estate credit.
The Chairman of the Council of Federation expressed concern with some provisions of the RF Housing Code, especially those dealing with provision of social housing to several categories of citizens. According to Sergey Mironov, the Federation Council suggests appropriation of federal funds (starting from the year 2005) to provide housing to the veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
